BeTwinned is being Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered. Which I am, most certainly, and not only by my darling 22-year-old twin daughters. There is so much in the world now to be bewitched, bothered, and bewildered by.
I’ve taught for more than 30 years in a variety of educational settings and grade levels as an English, social studies, reading, writing, journalism, and literacy teacher, technology coordinator, and newspaper and literary magazine adviser. I hold a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Secondary Education, both from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, and an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Southern California.
While at USC, I was a Dean’s Fellow and managing editor of the Online Journalism Review’s readers’ blog. I was also a features intern at the Daily Breeze in Torrance, CA and a fellow in a Carnegie-Knight reporting initiative called News 21.
After graduating from USC, I returned to full-time teaching but freelanced for Disney’s Family.com, for the LATimes.com’s education blog School Me, and for the features section at the Daily Breeze in Torrance, CA.
Currently, I am the Academic Technology Coordinator, Portal Content Director, and student newspaper adviser at Moorestown Friends School in Moorestown, New Jersey.
I live outside Philadelphia with my husband, a writer, graphic artist and editorial cartoonist. My twin daughters are mostly grown and flown, and they still bewitch, bother, and bewilder me. I love to dance, watch movies and TV, read, take photos, and daydream.
