You're girls are amazing and they will one day realize that cancer is a beast that Mommy was able to fight off with a dignity and strength that leaves others in awe. How amazing. First, how nice that the other survivor just handed over the medal, so they each could have one. These, for now, are treasures for them because they stand for something very important - that their wonderful mama is healthy. Just think of what they will mean when they pull them out in a few years time when they fully understand what they represent. You'll have to remind them about this show-and-tell.
